Our evening at Mesón Barmaña was a testament to the simple excellence of Galician cuisine. The "tapas" were the stars of the show, each dish a perfect example of fresh, quality ingredients prepared with care. We started with the classic pimientos de padrón, a handful of green peppers that were perfectly fried and seasoned, with just the right level of heat to keep things interesting. The culinary adventure continued with the incredibly tender octopus, which was served with succulent shrimp and delicate angulas (baby eels). This combination of land and sea was a revelation, showcasing the richness of local produce. “ We are doing Camino from Porto and it’s the first place where portion sizes are actually good. What happened to the world? Why to get advantage of poor pilgrims that are starving along the hard path? Feed them with good portions like this place. And the food is very decent, especially sea food. I ordered two glasses of beer and a glass of wine for my wife. And the waiter refilled her glass for free winking at me. I knew that if he is flipping off other customers the guy knows his job. ”

The owner is very fun, happy and generous, food was delicious and reasonably priced, the pilgrims across tables were interacting. Everything was great! If one thing to warn is not to get drunk!! The owner was very generous to refill your wine glass and that was dangerous! ”
